BACK UP CARE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE DUE TO COVID-19

Back up care will be implemented as per the conditions of Back Up Care agreement between the parents and the agency. Parents will have the option of providing their own back up plan, or choosing to use an alternate approved dayhome educator. All back up dayhome educators are able to meet Ministry standards for family dayhomes. In cases where both the regular provider, and back up provider are unable to provide care, parents will be responsible for locating alternate care arrangements for their children. Please note that all parents requiring back up care must bring Back Up Care Permission Form upon arrival at the back up family day home. Back Up Care Permission Form 

Long Term Back Up Care: If unforeseen circumstances arise and your contracted dayhome educator is unable to provide care, the agency will attempt to locate alternate care within the agency. Child care contracts will not be terminated, and fees will not be reimbursed due to child absence. Decisions can only be made based on the information available at the time, however, if unable to locate care within the agency, the agency will allow for early termination of contract with no fees owed or due.

Please refer to childcare contract all service rates. If you are a subsidized parent, please remember that you are responsible for the entire fee. Parents will be charged the difference if subsidy does not pay the anticipated portion. All childcare fees (including subsidized portion) are the parent's responsibility. Parents will receive an information sheet on subsidy with the child enrolment package. 

The Child Care Subsidy Program assists families with child care expenses. The rate varies based on net family income, family size, and the number of hours of child care.
